"The Fall of Magic"

          They defeated Melindra, Imix, Asmodean, Tharizden, but in the process they created an even bigger foe...

Freah worked diviners full time searching for Pieces of the Rod of Seven parts. To her it was clear that one part still lay in the temple of elemental evil, one lost in the ruins of the Deathe maze, and one on the antimagic planet. It was rumored, that some great wizard/thief/silver dragon held the knowledge of a spell which creates it own magic zone amongst antimagic areas. Some say that the true impotus for this group was none other than the wiley Mystique D'Winter. Perhaps the last truly successful adventure Nadalis and Sir Lawrence shared, was the one that led to the Fall of Magic group. Those few days, those two great heroes accomplished a lot. The met Icyclitaphetapline, the only one they were aware of to have any knowledge of Mystic. They met with several members of the elven spell weaver council and then they headed off to Thalen where they met Marcus Trebestin, Jahovah, and the infamous Mystic. Nadalis and Sir Lawrence squared off in a duel and Sir Lawrence used all of his powerful spells in order to beat the sorceror. Mystic requested the orb of silver dragon kind. So the two spent a few days searching for the evil Melindra daughter of a demon and celestial. In the process they met Thomas the Valharu, a Dragon Lord. The story of the Dragon Lords made nadalis very nervous, but everything checked out. Then, they met the infamous Puck, the up and coming very powerful sorceror in the land. They proceeded to beat Melindra after a nasty battle. After they were both thouroughly insulted once again by Mystic and they traded for the new spell, Nadalis felt that some dragon hunting ought to imporve thier confidence once more. So they sought a worthy foe. Unfortunately they found a Great Wyrm with lots of friends and kicked the heroes asses. The two heores learned a valuable lesson this day. They learned they are mighty and powerful, but without the rest of the group, they can be overcome. It was this fight that might have led the two to seek the aid of the misfits group. So while Sir Lawrence nested, and studied the rod, Nadalis was able to adventure now and then aiding Quillian, Doc, and Accrux in the dirty work. With the new spell, the new task was setting up transportation to and from the nonmagic planet for investigation into possible locations for the piece of the rod. After talking to Khilock they found out they needed gems to trade for local currency on the non-magic planet. Needed items of value and the piece of the rod in the Deathe Maze, they decided to kill two birds with one stone. Nadalis and Accrux set out to scout the ruins of the deathe maze and took any treasure they happend upon as spoils so they could get gems worthy of trade on the non-magic planet. It was a sight to see, for while Accrux was a powerful character he was humbled by kolbolds. With the aid of the new spell combined with polymorph self and tongues, they were able to exchange for local currency. Accrux and Nadalis then freed about 30 elves from the slave pits on the demi-plane set up by Tharizden. Since he was well suited for that sort of thing it was Quillian who learned th local languange and established and extremely successful pub on the non-magic planet. all of this was of course with the help from Freah, the knowleged the power and the capital. OF course after watching Nadalis cast the spell once, she no longer needed his aid in mystic's spell. This bothered Nadalis none. Mystic made him swear to never give the spell to anyone. After Mystic insulted him so, I really don't think he minded that Freah was able to learn the ways of the spell. After he learned more, Quillian learned that the piece of the rod they sought, was carefully guarded and it was this piece that kept the land non-magical. But with the stealth abilities of Accrux and his power even in a non-magical setting, they aquired the piece in no time. Taking a break from running the Pub, Quillian set off with Doc and they found the piece of the rod in the ruins of the deathe maze. Quillian, doc and Accux then destroyed the temple of elemental evil and all the followers of tharizden.
